Halloween-part 2.

Well, to add to the list of costumes for the day, Liv was a bumble bee (Blind Melon style) which was her costume from two years ago (yes, it still fits). But the girls did go trick or treating as planned-as a monkey and banana. Liv really got it this year and loved the idea of getting candy from her friends and neighbors. Meme and Gpop came over to see our monkey business.

Halloween-part 1.

Well so far today (it is only 3pm), Liv has been a witch, a monkey, and raggedy ann. And Charlotte has been a banana and a cow. I busted out the box of costumes I had from when I was a little girl (my mom made them all), and Liv went to town.

Stay tuned to see what they actually trick-or-treat in. Let's see if it is my original plans for a monkey and a banana.

We waited over 3 years for this...........first haircut.

Okay so Ry and I were thinking the other day to ourselves ............... Do you think we need to trim Liv's hair? Would it help and make it healthier looking? Well today I decided to give it a try. It reminded me of when my mom used to cut my hair. I remember I would be in the middle of playing and my mom would be like "quick come over here and sit on the kitchen counter" "it will be real quick". Anyone that knows me as a child I didn't stand still (kinda like Liv).
So today, I pulled the same on Liv. I grabbed my fancy scissors (the same brand my mom used on me, you know the cheap fabric scissors with the orange handle.......yeah real fancy), sat her on the kitchen counter, and went at it. I have to say I am pretty proud. You can't really tell, and I may only have about 1 inches worth to put in her baby book, but we think it did the job. It was really funny too because Liv walked around for the next half an hour looking in the mirror and feeling pretty.

FirstGiggle.

This is Charlotte's second giggle ever. The first one was about 1 minute before this video and we quick grabbed the flip so we won't ever forget the sound of her "baby giggle". It was a little hard to get out of her because I think she was trying to figure out how she made that cool sound. What a moment.

Playgroup Halloween party.

The kids had fun eating ghost cookies, making a spider and jack-o-lantern treat, and jumping in the leaves.

Flashback.

My Aunt Bobbie dug this picture out of Chrissy and I at Benny's landing taking a nap. It brought tears to my eyes as soon as i saw it. It looks just like Liv and Lo. I am about 3 months old in the photo (same age as Charlotte).

Chrissy is reaching out and holding my hand the same way Liv holds charlotte's. The beauty of sisters......

Liv's very first Jack-O-Lantern.

Liv was in charge of the left eye. Ry carved her lines exactly.

Please Touch Museum.

Boy, oh Boy do I feel super lucky to be less than 6 miles from the new please touch museum. We went today and I got a yearly membership (for 15 months and 4 people). I can not even begin to explain how amazing this place is. Everything was beyond my expectations. It was like a miniature town with all kinds of stores. From the grocery store, to the central park, to Alice in Wonderland, to the hospital, to the train station, to the shoe store, etc. Liv truly got to feel like she was in each setting. We could have been there all day and still only play in half of it. We were there for three hours and Liv didn't want to leave. Now those of you that know Liv, know she is the observer and not the aggressive playing type. But the layout of this place was so spacious that she did not feel overwhelmed once. She felt comfortable and safe. Liv was having so much fun, I hated making her move along, but I was so excited to see what else it had. Charlotte slept in the mei tai most of the time but woke up and enjoyed watching her sister in action.

Even the food was good. Lots of healthy choices and no so bad prices. They have a playdoh room, self face painting room,. A full size carousel. Charlotte loved watching it like a giant mobile. They have daily puppet shows that are free. Every fine detail was so hought out and child-centered. And it was so clean and had workers in every station that played with the kids. It was miles and miles better than the old PTM.
I could go on, and on..... And to think I can go there as often as I want for over a year and be there in less than 15 minutes really gets me excited. It is a true gem and everyone has to experience it!!!! I felt like a little kid in there....

Jack-O-Lantern.

Beautiful day to carve a pumpkin.......
Liv was responsible for the left eye. That is why it is a oddly shaped circle. Makes for a unique and adorable Jack-O-lantern.

Soccer.

Meme and Gpop came up to see Liv at soccer. She was decked out in all of her soccer gear and ready to go. She ran around and played for about 20 minutes. Then I think she would have rather hung on the side lines with us. She said she was tired and hungry. Poor thing, she would go out and do an activity to show off but would end up crying because she was tired. You could tell she really wanted to go out and show off her skills. It was great though. My favorite is watching her do jumping jacks and play soccer simon says. She likes when Coach jack tells them to touch the ball with their nose. watching her and Ry do that is priceless. We grabbed a quick lunch and then Liv came home and had a good nap.

Sydney and Ava's party.

Sydney and Ava had their birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's. Let's just say Liv was so scared that Chuck was going to come out at any moment that she hid behind Grandmom and Daddy the whole time. But once he came out, she still hid in a corner booth, but she warmed up to the idea of him. She bobbed her head to the songs and clapped her hands. Charlotte slept through most of the party in the mei tai. After the party, we went to Aunt Nichole's house for a little to open the presents and finish up some tomato pie.

They had a blast!

Here is a picture from our Friday, cousin playdate.

binky box.

Liv got a letter from snowwhite that told her now that she is three she has a binky box. Her binkies go in her box as soon as she wakes and can't get them again until her nap and/or bed time. It is working so far......... She puts them in by herself... ;)

our hallway.

Liv has this wonderful habit of coming to her door after I tuck her in and throwing two objects over her babygate. This is our pile from the past few days......

Can't wait.

Liv is psyched for her cousins birthday party this weekend. It is at Chuck E. Cheese's......... Although we all know she will freak when Chuck, himself, pays a visit (I am sure I will have pics to share).

Then on Sunday, Liv has a date day with Daddy while mommy goes to Jersey.

talking.

I am sure alot of my photos/videos may seem the same or a bit silly. But 5 days out of 7 where it is just me and the girls for 11 hours, we tend to get a little loopy (along with every other stay at home mom). Plus, daddy loves checking in on his girls...... I have been trying to remember the camera for the stroller walks or the diaper bag so I can start documenting a bit of our life outside of the home. I am fully aware alot of my pics and videos all occur in our living room (the only variable are the outfits and maybe the size of the kids- as they get bigger)

overheard....

Background info: Every morning Liv HAS to give her daddy a super long hug and kiss. If it doesn't meet her expectations, she gets extremely upset. She then orders daddy to kiss Charlotte and mommy too.

This morning we were driving to the mall and she was eating alphabet cookies. All of the sudden she seemed upset.

She says: But mommy, my daddy's kiss is all gone.

I said: What do you mean?

She said: But I ate the cookies and now the kiss isn't on my lips (pouting).

I said: Of course it is, honey, no matter what you eat, your daddy's kisses stay all day.

She said: Are you sure?

I said: Yes, they last ALLL day!

She said: okay. good.

Our neighbors Finn and Molly cruised over today and the kids painted pumpkins.

imitating.

charlotte knows how to imitate facial expressions and sounds. When I make raspberry sounds, she does the same. We go back and forth and giggle and make sounds. Except she drools and makes big bubbles while doing it. So cute....and precious.

overheard....

mom,"turn my upfan on" (liv says that everytime I tuck her in, it is her ceiling fan)

soccer.

Well not sure who enjoyed themselves better Ry or Liv. (or who got more tired out.....) They had a blast running around the school gym playing soccer and all kinds of warm up games. Liv learned how to do jumping jacks and play duck-duck goose. I don't have any good pics because the lighting in the gym was really off and the pics came out weird. But we all had a blast. I sat on the sidelines with other mom's (and babies) drinking coffee while the dads ran around like crazy with the kids. Even though I have two girls, I can still be a soccer mom..;)

Neiman dinner (at Dan/Sumer)

Charlotte passed out on the couch while we ate......
