Sure I can take it....

So, this week being super cold and not getting out for three days has been a true test. On top of that, finding out Lo's allergy results, Lo's first bad cold (her new name is Lottie Snottie), and now Liv has a fever and ear infection.

What else you got to hand me.......... I can take it!

This time next week, I keep saying to myself, we should be back on track......

Running on Empty.

Well, Charlie still has her cold and therefore has been with me every night. Now, Liv WANTS to be sick. Every time Lo coughs, Liv does.
AND, Lo's allergy bloodwork came back with a positive for dairy and egg (which we knew from the skin test) and a slight positive for peanuts. The doctor wants to keep a close eye on it to see if it raises or goes away.

We are trying to get back on our feet, but this weeks cabin fever sure is making it hard to do.

snots, snots, snots.

Well, Charlotte is having her first cold. So sad to see, she is only 6 months old. Liv didn't have a cold until her second winter (she was about a year and a half). I guess one of the joys of being a second child,is being exposed to older sibling germs.

Let's hope tonight is a better night. I am a wimp and when the kids are sick,I don't leave their side.

We all need a little sleep.

Charlie the Trooper.

I took Lo today to the hospital to get bloodwork. I was going to put it off for a few months because of her age, but I woke up today and thought "Let's just get it over with.."

I was literally sweating in the waiting room. When we took Liv at a bout a year, it was very traumatic. For all of us.

But when we went back, the nurse found her vein right away. It only took about 1 minute. The other nurse sat with me and distracted Lo. she cried, but not that much. She got over it very quickly. What a tropper!!

I must have thanked the nursed ten times in two minutes. I was so thankful it went so well.

Tucking Liv in...Part 2.

I have to give Liv credit, she is pretty good at going to bed right when we tuck her in and knowing she isn't coming back out until the morning. However, she still comes to her door once after I tuck her in. On the way back to her bed, she leads. She then climbs up over her bed rail like she is at a gymnastics class. I can't even explain it but it cracks me up (and totally annoys me at the same time).
It is almost like in her head she is saying, "how can I stall when my head is about ten inches from the pillow?" She uses the bed rail asa prop for her feet and props her body up in the air, then slowly lowers her butt....as slow as possible.

I give her credit, she turns a 10 second tuck in, into about a 60 second one. 6 times longer then needed.....pretty good.

Who needs a spa?

Who needs a spa? When you have a three year old, weighing roughly 26 pounds. Ry and I lay on the bed at night on our bellies side by side. Liv will walkup my back and then down his back over and over and over.

It is the perfect way to end a stressful day and right in the comfort of our home. Cost is nothing.... And it keeps Liv busy for a while.

Double Trouble.

A Meat eating Vegan.

Being a vegetarian for 8 years when I was younger has prepared me for my current challenge. Although I try not to look at it as a challenge, but as a life change. Now, I eat meat, but no dairy or eggs (due to Charlotte's Allergies). It is bringing me back to my old ways of eating Veganaise and Soy Products.

Best find so far, are Vegan chocolate Chip Morsels. I just made chocolate covered pretzels and they are DELICIOUS!

I have become a conscious eater because everything that enters my mouth has to be investigated. It is a good thing....Maybe it will help me lose some post baby weight ;)

You are our world.

You complete me,
You complete daddy,
You complete our family.

Right now, we are your world.
Life will change.
Your world will get bigger.
But our love and pride in you will remain.

You will always be our world.
You are our pride.
You are our purpose.

Love you always, Olive and Bean.
Three Hand Squeezes (I LOVE YOU)

Daddy, "Will you be my Valentine's day?"

52 pick up.

Fun Fun. Liv's new thing.......is filling bags and containers, and anything........with ANYTHING. Yeah, a JOY! I spend most of my days , unpacking all of her Random Packing. She always says, I have to pack this and that and this and that. She has fun doing it and it is a time killer if I want a breather. But then I spend twice as much time putting it all back.

The bag above is one of 4 she filled today. In it was about 40 crayons, 20 markers, Lo's slippers, 7 puzzle pieces, a hammer, screw driver, hotdog and sushi from her kitchen, 12 arts and craft pom poms, 3 of Lo's rattles, and a princess bracelet.

How did she manage to get things from the kitchen, the living room, the playroom, her room, Lo's room, and the basement and put it in one bag? Now that I think of it, that was pretty clever.

Daddy TIME!

This was about 2 minutes after daddy walked in the door from a long day of work.......As you can tell us FOUR girls miss him!

Best Big SIS ever . (well tied with Aunt Chrissy and Aunt Nichole)

What a great big sister. Charlotte had to stay still on my lap for 15 minutes doing tummy time (not her favorite). Liv was trying to make her laugh and distract her by dancing around. So sweet!

Cheese!

Verdict: Eggs and Dairy.

Charlotte was such a champ. She laid across my lap for 15 minutes during the testing. We are happy to have an answer, now I have to alter my diet. I can take on the challenge.....anything for Lolo!

One hour away...... from an answer (let's hope).

We are off to the pediatric allergists office. He will be doing the skin prick test and I hope to find an answer. And hopefully it is an easy one. But whatever it is, it is and we will deal with it.

Thankfully, her flare ups settled down in the past two days so the doctor can do the testing.

Dirty Binky.

Something I don't want to forget (besides the fact that Liv is 3 years old and her lovey is her binky......) Liv only needs her binks at nap and bedtime. I haven't pushed the subject yet because I don't want to until she gives up her nap. Either that or I fear giving up the bink, gives up her nap, hence my break)

But lately when I put her down, she has named her two binkies. One is her Daddy binky (not sure why) and the other one is her Dirty Binky. She rubs it back on forth against her shirt. I am not sure if she is trying to clean it off or make it dirty. She holds it and flicks the nipple to fall asleep. Who knows......

And I am well aware that she is too old for a binky. Some kids need their backs rubbed to fall asleep or 10 stories read, liv needs two binks, one in each hand and she is out cold in 2 minutes (knock on wood). I just hope she doesn't graduate college with one.....Then again, I have yet to know anyone who has. Let's hope Liv isn't the first.....

swing, swing.

Mommy,I think I just saw a Stootin Sar.

Crib time.

Liv has a new routine that I have to say, really makes me smile. Whenever Charlotte wakes up from a nap, and Liv hears her in her crib, she asks me if we can go see Charlotte. We go in her room and Liv climbs in the crib and lays next to Lo. As soon as Lo sees Liv, her entire face lights up and she starts kicking her legs and swaying her arms. I put a blanket over the two of them and they cuddle and giggle. Liv turns the mobile on and they just enjoy each other. I stand over them and just watch them love on each other.
Moments like this make me realize I gave them the best gift of all. Each other.

Happy House..

Today the girls were extra happy and having fun. Must have been the fresh air from playing on the swingset.

Baby Boom

Five weeks after Kevin and Korrin became parents to Connor, they received a phone call that they were hand picked by the birth parents of a baby boy that was born just 4 days after Connor (he was a premie and in the hospital). How could they resist? Last night, they officially became parents of a second BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY baby boy. Colin Joseph Camarote! Congrats! We are all so happy for you!
