A taste of Paradise......

We just got back from an amazing adventure. Ry and I are typically known to be homebodies and explore the beauty of our own grounds; but exploring foreign grounds with our child was incredible, beyond words. Throughout the entire vacation, I kept asking myself, why didn't we do this sooner. Liv was nothing shy of a complete angel. She didn't cry once for 6 days straight. She welcomed every new experience with laughter and squeals. The plane was such a hit, she still wakes up everyday asking to go on it again. When we got in the plane, Liv was shouting "weeeee" while we were driving on the runway. As we took off, she was cheering "going up a big hill". She looked out the window with Daddy to see if she could see our house and Corriah (haha). Liv is officially taking after her mom, by being a naturally born beach babe. Although she loves the snow, and woods; when she is splashing in the water, you see true joy. The weather was in the mid 80's everyday with no humidity. Most of our days were spent in a bathing suit, just lounging and playing outside by the pool and the crystal blue Carribean water. Everyone was enjoying thirst quenching alcoholic beverages (except Me, Liv, and Gpop). Liv didn't skip a beat with her sleeping schedule. She took her nap everyday and went to bed by 8pm each night (her crib was in the closet, but she seemed to like it).

Here are just a few of the memories we can't forget......Everyone loved the water slides and late night room service. Liv got to feed the turtles lettuce and watch daddy feed the sting rays fish. Ry and Johnny went swimming with the dolphins. And a parrot came over to Liv and had a conversation with her (so funny). Meme and I got some R and R at the spa. Everyone was lucky at the rollette table and playing blackjack. Liv loved walks on the beach collecting coral. The list goes on.........

The Bahemian pace and "Hey, Mon" accent was so refreshing and culturally fulfilling. The weather and rest was much needed. It was unbelievably surreal that nature can be that beautiful. The colors were eye piercing after spending the past 5 months seeing nothing but naked trees and dull colors in Pennsylvania. It just reminds us that Spring and Summer are just around the corner and soon we will see flowers blooming and our very own Jersey beaches. WOOHOOO! HERE WE COME........
