Dirty Binky.
Something I don't want to forget (besides the fact that Liv is 3 years old and her lovey is her binky......) Liv only needs her binks at nap and bedtime. I haven't pushed the subject yet because I don't want to until she gives up her nap. Either that or I fear giving up the bink, gives up her nap, hence my break)
But lately when I put her down, she has named her two binkies. One is her Daddy binky (not sure why) and the other one is her Dirty Binky. She rubs it back on forth against her shirt. I am not sure if she is trying to clean it off or make it dirty. She holds it and flicks the nipple to fall asleep. Who knows......
And I am well aware that she is too old for a binky. Some kids need their backs rubbed to fall asleep or 10 stories read, liv needs two binks, one in each hand and she is out cold in 2 minutes (knock on wood). I just hope she doesn't graduate college with one.....Then again, I have yet to know anyone who has. Let's hope Liv isn't the first.....

Crib time.
Liv has a new routine that I have to say, really makes me smile. Whenever Charlotte wakes up from a nap, and Liv hears her in her crib, she asks me if we can go see Charlotte. We go in her room and Liv climbs in the crib and lays next to Lo. As soon as Lo sees Liv, her entire face lights up and she starts kicking her legs and swaying her arms. I put a blanket over the two of them and they cuddle and giggle. Liv turns the mobile on and they just enjoy each other. I stand over them and just watch them love on each other.
Moments like this make me realize I gave them the best gift of all. Each other.

Baby Boom
Five weeks after Kevin and Korrin became parents to Connor, they received a phone call that they were hand picked by the birth parents of a baby boy that was born just 4 days after Connor (he was a premie and in the hospital). How could they resist? Last night, they officially became parents of a second BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY baby boy. Colin Joseph Camarote! Congrats! We are all so happy for you!

overheard....
Multiple times a day, live will go get her Ukulele (from santa) and sing Feliz Navidad.......
But she says, "Elise Aveda". Sounds like a Foreign Supermodel's name.

Doctor's orders.
Well we went to the allergist yesterday and thought we would find out if she allergic to something so we can get to the bottom of this......He didn't want to test her but we are scheduled to go back on Jan 15th for the skin pricking test.
However, he strongly advised us giving her the antihistamine that the pediatric gave us to prevent discomfort, itching, scratching, and infection. He also wants us to apply hydrocortisone twice a day to try to get a hold of all the flare ups. We have used it in the past, but not consistently due to our strong belief in healing with nutrients. We decided to cave and just do it for two weeks to see if it gets a hold of this........We figure two weeks won't hurt. He also recommended Eucerin instead of the other creams we were using. I also have to continue avoiding dairy, eggs, and peanuts until the testing is done.
Well, the doctor knows what he is talking about. All I can say is, my Charlotte is back. I know we still have to figure out if she has an allergy but in the mean time. She is BACK. She wokeup today in her crib talking (and not complaining and scratching). She was even playing with her toes (which she has yet to do because her legs are the first thing her hands will go for (to scratch). She has been SO pleasant. Napping peacefully, waking up and smiling. Playing in her various toys.....
I feel so free today. I don't have to spend my day holding Charlotte's hands or distracting her every second to try and help her forget about the full body itch.
During Liv's nap, Charlotte and I went to the mall and I just wore her on me as we shopped around. She had a blast and had no discomfort. She was able to just enjoy herself (so did I, I splurged on a pair of sunglasses ;) Merry Christmas to ME ;)
The best gift of all is freeing Lo.
