I know most people think having a weekend at the shore of clear skies and ninety degree weather is an ideal weekend at the shore. However, my fondest memories growing up are hanging in by the bay during a thunderstorm and playing games. My dad would usually be sitting out on the porch watching the lightening hit the water and hollaring for us to come and watch it with him. Chrissy, Johnny, and I would be breaking out the "rainy weather toys" such as puzzles, uno, or dominos. My mom would be in the kitchen prepping some yummy open face jersey tomato sandwiches......
This weekend, we got a little taste of both of the ideal shore weather. What a great way to end our summer trips as a family of three. Our next time down to Exit 10 will be as a family of 4 (plus Corriah). We got to hang out with Jeanna's sisters (from colorado), Brian, Chrissy, Kevin, Korrin, and our summer friends in the basin. Our days were a filled with just relaxing, runs to the coffee shop, shopping, sitting out on the dock........
Nights were hearing fireworks, playing card games, ordering take-out, eating crabs, playing wii, watching ufc fight.....
